I would choose Arnold Lynch (3rd June 1914 – 13 November 2004) because he was an English engineer. He was the first person to construct a Colossus ( a electronic computer ) used in 1943 – 1945 at Bletchley park to break Nazi code! Arnold Lynch was the son of Albert John Lynch, the headmaster at West Green School! After graduating from Emmanuel College Cambridge, Arnold Lynch worked at the Post Office Research Station at Dollis Hill ! In 1943 Tommy Flowers, Colossus’s inventor commissioned Arnold to develop the vital high-speed optical paper tape reader.. In 1995 Arnold Lynch helped the volunteers at Bletchley Park rebuild Colossus machines where they can now be viewed as working exhibits.

    ARNOLD LYNCH

Arnold Lynch (3 June 1914 – 13 November 2004) was an English engineer, known for his work on an optical tape reader which was used in the construction of the Colossus, the first electronic computer. By 1944 ten Colossus computers were installed at Bletchley Park and used to read high-level (fish or tunny) German ciphers.

Lynch joined the Post Office Research Station in 1936, specialising in the measurement of the electrical and magnetic properties of materials. He retired in 1974, but continued to come to work at NPL in the dielectric area of RF and microwave electromagnetism up to the year of his death.

If we didn’t have computers nobody will be able to do their work ( on a computer).
Also if you didnt have time to watch something on the televison you would be able to watch it again on a computer.
