Having examined the six book covers, I can see that five of the book covers have illustrations of wings or feathers, which could mean that a character in the story is able to fly. My favourite book cover is the top one in the middle as I am intrigued by the powerful pose of the drawn character, which has white feathered wings protruding from its back. The book cover is effective as it makes me ask questions about the character and the storyline, which can only be answered by reading the book. For example, is the character human? Is the character able to fly?

I really am enjoying the book Skellig.Of course all of those book covers are the same book but they all tell some thing different.For example, lets look at the 3rd and 4th book covers.The 3rd book cover is a feather on a blue background, it is a very simple design. On the other hand, the 4th book cover shows Micheal and Mina looking at the old man so it already gives the reader an example of how the old man will look.
All those book covers are really attracting me but my favourite one is the 1st one because I really like the background colour and how they have put a pair of white wings on it.I think people will like the 6th book cover because the words ‘SKELLIG’ looks really exciting in big letters on top of a city picture.

I like number 2 because it gives you a clue to what the monster is. The thing that is different is the front cover of each book as they all have the word SKELLIG in different hand writing.

I think all of them are different because they each have there own meaning and they are all saying somthing in there own way.my favourite one is number 2 because it has its own tectures and its own coulors and together it makes some thing special.Also I think number 2 would be David Almond best seller because he has put realeffort into it .
I’ve looked at the book covers and I’ve identified the simallarities and differences between the books. I’ve found out that all the title fonts are different. I like book cover number 6 the best because it looks more interesting. I think book cover number 2 will be read by more people because many people like horror stories and book cover number 2 looks like the story is a horror one.

I really enjoyed reading the book called ‘Skellig’,all of the books cover is fabulous but my favourite is the first one aswell.
The first book has mixed colours of red, yellow and brown,and it has a picture of wings, and on the third book it has only blue and a picture of a white,thin feather.I think the book covers are different to make the reader get interested and think there is more stories of that book.I like the first book because I like the background colours and I love the two white wings.I think people will be more affected by the book cover of the first book because it has iwhite wings, possibly giving you a clue of what the book can be about.
